Lucky Bitch Video Transcript – How to Afford Anything You Want
You know what? It’s an amazing place to get to in your life where you can afford anything you want, but still have dreams that you’re striving for.
I really want to share some tips with you today because I hear from a lot of entrepreneurs in the Lucky Bitch world who feel like they’re lacking in some way.
They feel like their life isn’t as First Class as they want it to be.
Create space before you manifest what you want
The first tip is to declutter everything that’s “not that.”
So, for example, if you really want to buy a new pair fabulous of shoes, you need to declutter all the things that are not “great shoes” in your life.
You might have heard me say this before about creating space before you manifest what you want. And you might think, “No, I won’t throw out those old skanky shoes until the money shows up to replace them.”
It doesn’t work like that, girlfriend
You have to show faith, and you have to really show the Universe that you’re not willing to tolerate Economy Class stuff in your life.
Say, for example, you want to manifest three amazing new clients at your new updated price range. Guess what: you might have to let go of some of the clients that are stressing you out, that are underpaying you, that are massive pains in the butt.
You have to get rid of them before the new ones can come in.
Declutter everything that’s not what you want to manifest.
Choose to make powerful decisions
The next thing is to know that you can make decisions from a powerful place of choice, rather than FOMO.
Often, when you want to manifest something, it might not be for the right reasons.
Maybe you think, “Well, everyone else has got one. I should have one as well.” I was like that with a Fit Bit, and then I realized that I’d never use it. It’s okay to say no to the latest thing if it doesn’t really make you happy. It creates the space for something PERFECT for you, and minimizes clutter in your life.
Really ask yourself, and get very clear on what it is that you want and why you’re asking for it…
“What’s important about this purchase for me?”
“What’s it really going to give me?”
It can be for lots of different reasons, by the way.
It can just be for pleasure, or buying things for ego reasons – to make yourself look and feel good. Why not?
Maybe it’s an investment that you want to make in your business that will lead to more income.
Know what your reasons are
You might be thinking, “I thought you were going to tell me how to make more money, Denise.”
You know how to make money. Making money is just strategy. When you get your mindset right, the ideas will come, the action will come, the procrastination will stop and you’ll be able to make the money.
So if you work on these mindset shifts, it’s going to make things a lot easier.
Know why you want it
How do you make powerful decisions from choice, not FOMO?
Try it out…
If it’s something that’s a massive purchase – say, for example, a big dream house that you want to live in – you have to go to open houses and you have to stand in those houses and really anchor that feeling and believe that you deserve it.
Breathe in that air
When I say that, some people go, “Oh, but I can’t go and look in those houses. People will think I’m a fraud.”
Honey, if you can’t go in there for free, how are you going to believe you can buy it?
How are you going to give yourself permission to own that one day if you can’t even go in for a free open house or a free inspection?
It’s the same if you want to buy an amazing pair of shoes or an amazing couch, or whatever it is that you want to buy. Go and try it out. If you’re intimidated to go into that store, then what makes you believe deep down that you deserve it?
And it’s the same with clients. If you’re not willing to give up some of the crappy clients that come in, then you’re really just showing the Universe that you don’t believe you deserve anything better.
That’s how you make a decision from a powerful place rather than from FOMO. You say, “Do I really even like this? Now that I’m here and I’m experiencing it, is this for me?”
And you can choose yes or no in that moment.
When you’re tempted, don’t always compromise
The next tip is, when you’re tempted, don’t always compromise. This is juicy, right, because you might say, “Universe, I want three new clients at this particular rate,” and then three clients come in, but they’re just not what you’re looking for. Maybe they’re coming for a service that you no longer want to provide.
A very good friend and ex-client of mine is an amazing naturopath, Tammy Guest. When I was coaching her, she was also providing a massage service, and she said, “Oh, it just stresses me out. I don’t want to do it.”
But every time we went to upgrade her naturopathy practice, she would get all these people come in and say, “Can you do a massage for me?” At some point she had to say to herself, “No. I’m not going to be tempted by that money anymore. I’m cutting off that service.”
Another example is that we’re house hunting at the moment…
We’ve got this dream of an amazing house, but then there are these other houses that we see and think, “That would be … okay.”
The point is, you have to say, “No. I’m not being tempted by compromises because this is what I want.”
When you do that, you’re sending a really strong message to the Universe that you want your money to flow to that particular goal.
If you compromise, your flow of money might stop right there, when it could have been much higher if you didn’t compromise and just let yourself go for it. That’s going to happen all the time.
Anytime you draw a line in the sand about something you want, temptations are totally going to come up. I love hearing stories about this because they can be hilariously funny. The Universe has a sense of humour that’s for sure!
But here’s the thing:
It’s totally cool to have what you want
The last part is, believing that you deserve it.
Believing that it’s okay for you to have what you want.
Anything you want – whether it’s low cost or high cost.
Actually, that isn’t the last point because the last point is:
Take action when the time is right
You might think, “Shouldn’t I be taking action first?”
No, because your mindset isn’t right.
You might not believe that you really deserve it.
You might be chasing something that you don’t really need. You might be tempted to compromise when you really need to hold firm.
You might not even have the discernment yet to know whether you should hold firm or make that compromise.
If you want a really nice process for this, I have one. It’s in my free audio class, How to Manifest Money in 24 Hours. I say 24 hours because often when people want to listen to it, they need money right now for something they want to buy – whether it’s a course, a coach, something that has a deadline on it, or a massive dream.
It still works if you want to manifest the money over the next week, month, or year. The process totally works, and it comes with a really cool cheat sheet that you can fill out and put on your desk to make things happen.
You can get that at www.LuckyBitch.com/24hours.
If you’ve listened to it before, do it again because we’ve revamped it, and you usually need to hear that same information over again anyway.
There’s no advanced strategy, there’s no silver bullet. You have to do the basics again and again whenever you want to manifest something big, or you want to manifest money fast for something specific.
It’s very easy to leave out some of the steps and wonder, “Universe, why isn’t it coming?” and it’s like, “You done it wrong, girlfriend!”
Make sure you download that at www.LuckyBitch.com/24hours.
You really can have anything you want. You have to believe that deep down. You have to believe that you’re worth it.
Whatever your desires are, it’s totally cool.
It’s your time and you’re ready for the next step.
